During my time in practice, I have had some great opportunities to become more involved in the ethos of the team.

I have now been at Whittam Cox Architects for over a year. I’m currently working within the retail team. Academically, I’m about to start my last year of the MArch Architecture apprenticeship in September finally completing 6 years of university! In my spare time, I look after 100+ of my houseplants. Architecturally I’m interested in biophilic design as well as the relationship between cities and natural environments. Further on in my career, I would like to develop in the area of dispute resolution and law surrounding the field of the built environment.

Second Floor Plan.jpg

The Exchange Network seeks to create local relationships by connecting neighbouring organisations through the initiative of exchanging resources. The intervention develops social-spatial strategies in response to conducted research analysing the inclusion/ exclusion of the community of the City Road region in Sheffield. As part of the urban scale intervention, my project illustrates the benefits of local involvement in the redevelopment of The
Salvation Army. My project seeks to transform the existing services offered by The Salvation Army by expanding the facility to offer shelter to women and children. The redevelopment aims to create a strong support network for its visitors by offering work experience, social spaces, nursery facilities, counselling as well as growing opportunities.
