My main architectural interest lies around participatory design and community engagement, how that shifts the way we produce architecture as well as the role of the architect itself.
My journey at Whittam Cox Architects began 4 years ago, following a year out after university. I am currently enrolled on the Level 7 Architect Degree Apprenticeship at Sheffield Hallam University. Having recently completed my final year of MArch, I am now looking ahead to starting preparation for the Part 3 element of the apprenticeship. Outside of architecture I love discovering new places and cuisines. When the opportunity arises, I like to get involved in arts projects which helps me develop my interest in audio-visual media. It's great doing my apprenticeship at Whittam Cox, there are so many people you can learn from, everyone is approachable and keen to help whenever I have a question.

My design is looking to support the civic economy of the North of Sheffield via the use of festivals and amplify the narrative of civic entrepreneurship and mutuality.
In order to achieve this, I tap into the knowledge and networks of two existing local festivals and imagine expanded possibilities for economic and spatial interventions in the area. The making of The Civic Festival offers opportunities for exchange between professionals and volunteers.
Here architecture is explored as an open and generative process and the architect is a locally embedded agent whose role spans between organising, designing and making.
