I’m a 22 year-old Architectural Assistant from Sheffield currently studying MArch in Architecture at Sheffield Hallam University. I completed my undergraduate degree in June 2020 before joining Whittam Cox Architects in July 2020. I joined the practice due to the very positive experiences I had from work experience here and a couple of summer placements during my undergraduate period. I began the HDA Masters course in September 2021 and have recently completed my first year of three. I am currently working with the retail team.

Amidst the enormous standard residential developments of the Wicker area stands a colourful, playful industrial style domestic research centre. Within the compound is various research experiments and live exhibitions designed to test and comment upon repetitive, regulation based, office designed residential schemes. The lab acts as a break away from the vast construction and typically designed amenity spaces with an emphasis on allowing the community to speak. People may tag the building with any messaging they wish to convey to the developers and local governing bodies. They may reside here and work here and become part of this community dedicated to improving the way we live. We design for people, not for money.
