Nurturing of Fears

With the site being positioned next to the canal and the River Trent, the aim is to use this as ‘motivation’ to undergo the

process.

The activities happening within these bodies of water are inspiration for the many opportunities opened to them if they conquer this fear and learn to swim. The architectural environment serves to help boost confidence within each indoor pool space.

The ‘Swimmer’s Form Analysis’ is the driving factor behind the schemes ‘architectural language’, with these forms being present not only in the façade (the columns

and pitches) but also throughout the pool spaces, tying the scheme together as one.
